Forthcoming Rallies – events in July 2006

The next event for leighrallying is the Quinton rally in llandovery, mid Wales on the 8th July.

After a disastrous Red dragon rally the car has had a major overhaul in the search for more power, throttle bodies are now being put on the car as well as a new exhaust and a major head skim.

A load of new goodies are planed in the mid season break with a new camshaft and dog box as well as a brakes and up rated driveshaft’s

The Mini is also alive and kicking with a brand new engine a mot.

The mini was put back together after a long break with new engine and various other new goodies, e.g. camshaft, competition clutch,

It passed it’s mot with only a few bits needed to be done, Head light aims, wheel cylinder and a tyre on the wrong way round.

The Leigh rallying crew are due a change around with Rob doing the driving and Darren in the co-pilot seat.

They have entered the Fat Albert stages at Keevil airfield near Trowbridge on the 29th July. Again there will have the smallest engine there and hope to overhaul some bigger engine cars.

I will keep the updates coming in.
